We’re excited to share that SenseICs Corporation has been awarded a $200,000 Technology Validation and Start-up Fund (TVSF) grant through Ohio Third Frontier, administered by the Ohio Department of Development.

This funding will support commercialization of our next-generation light detection and ranging (LiDAR) ASIC focused on high-precision ranging and altimetry applications, including terrain elevation modeling, inland water monitoring, floodplain mapping, and coastal elevation profiling.

Through our licensing partnership with The Ohio State University, we are integrating a timing-optimized Constant Fraction Discriminator (CFD) into our NASA-funded DARSoC LiDAR architecture to enable a new product, AltiZoom, designed for accurate altitude, elevation, and distance measurements. While optimized for precision altimetry, the technology also supports automotive LiDAR as a secondary market.

This award will help accelerate design updates, fabrication, testing, and beta demonstrations with commercial partners, moving us closer to market while strengthening Ohio’s semiconductor innovation ecosystem.

We’re proud to contribute to Ohio’s growing leadership as the heart of technology and advanced semiconductor innovation.

Thank you to Ohio Third Frontier, The Ohio State University, and our partners for their continued support as we advance next-generation sensing technologies from research to real-world deployment.
